This graduation and missionary photography session in Spring, Texas was such a beautiful way to honor two major life transitions in a single session. Graduating high school and preparing to serve an LDS mission are both huge milestones, and combining them made the session feel deeply personal and intentional.
We started with classic cap and gown portraits—those joyful, energetic photos that scream “I did it!” Then came a wardrobe change into a suit and tie, and the tone shifted. Holding the flag representing where they’ll serve their mission, the photos took on a more reflective, faith-filled feel. It was like telling two chapters of one incredible story.
What I love most about milestone sessions is how unique they are to each person. I always encourage clients to bring meaningful props—like a sports jersey, scriptures, a mission letter, or even art supplies. These items help us tell your story, not just capture a pose.
While this graduation and missionary photography session took place in Spring, I’m now based in the San Antonio and Bulverde area, where I offer milestone sessions for grads, missionaries, and anyone celebrating life’s big changes.
During graduation season and end-of-school-year sessions, I also offer seasonal weekend availability in both Houston and Austin, especially for families needing flexibility. These sessions tend to book quickly—so keep an eye on my Instagram for pop-up offers and limited-time discounts! I sometimes run special rates for homeschooled grads and traditional students alike, so no matter how you do school, I’ve got something for you.
Whether you’re tossing your cap, preparing your farewell, or just entering a new chapter, I’d love to help you capture it.
